Indoor Flying
Author: Luella Cousins

All through the winter, KMAS and High Country Flyers teamed up to accomodate those who wanted to fly throughout the winter. The urge to fly doesn't simply go away when the snow flies. Here in Kamloops a schools gym was used and flying was every Friday night and Sunday. The space seemed to work out just fine and was enough room for at least three electric planes at any one time. Indoor electric flying seems to be getting very popular with more and more clubs able to find ample space in gyms and arenas.

There were good turnouts and those who had indoor flyers or electric flyers showed up time after time. From the exotic birds seen flying inside to those that came from another universe, they all cooperated with their endeavors.

Lester of Lester's Hobbies came in frequently to make sure that everyone stayed stocked up on glues, propellors, additional planes and all of those special toys that end up under the tree.

Thanks to the hard work of small contingent of ardent flyers, everyone could enjoy themselves.
